“The Alfred Nobel Peace Prize & City of Oslo - Day 1:

                        Arrival Oslo by flight or by the DFDS Seaways cruise-liner. Meet & greet your English speaking guide of the day. Short transfer by private coach to the city centre. The coach company will store the luggage temporarily and deliver it to the Oslo Central Station. City orientation on foot with private guide. included visit & lecture at “The Norwegian Nobel Institute”, visit at the Oslo City Hall where the Nobel Peace Prize ceremonial takes place, the pedestrian street “Karl Johans Gate” leading up to the Royal Castle & the “Akerbrygge” centre at the harbour front. Lunch at “The Hard Rock Cafèe”. 16:07 Dep. by famous “Bergensbana” – InterCity cross-country train connection to Myrdal Junction in the mountain wilderness, arr. 20:45 for change of train to the World’s steepest railway ride by “Flaamsbana”, dep. 20:55 and arr. 21:45 to Flaam. Check-in at “Furukroa Hotel”. Cold dishes at hotel. The hotel is located at the fjord pier next to the train station. Overnight.

 

 

“Fjord Safari, Wilderness Camp & Scandinavian Nature” - Day 2 & 3:

08:00 Breakfast at hotel. 09:00 Meet & greet your 2 professional instructors. Briefing, delivery of personal safety equipment and then onboard the RIB-boats for a great Fjord Safari following the Aurlandsfjord to the impressive main fjord, the Sognefjord and continue on into the narrow Näröyfjord. Mooring at the remote Dyrdal for setting up the wilderness camp – all participants must take part in this. Among the many camp activities are open fire, out-door cooking, fishing, mountain trekking, lectures about wild life and learning how to survive in the Scandinavian wilderness etc. Overnights in lavvo’s – Samish tents.

 

“Fjords, Glaciers & Challenge from the Global Heating” - Day 4: 

                        06:30 Breakfast at the wilderness camp. By RIB-boat to small-village Gudvangen and from here by private coach (km 114 – driving time: 2:27 hours) non-stop transfer via the World’s longest road tunnel, “Lärdalstunnelen” – 24 km – and by ferryboat crossing the World’s greatest fjord, “Sognefjorden” and crossing the mountain wilderness arr. 11:30 at the Jostedals Glaciers – “Breheimsenteret” and “Nigardsbreen”. Welcome by the professional guides & lecturers, briefing & delivery of personal safety equipment and by motorboat crossing the glacial lake in front of the great glacier. 2 hours walk & climbing at the “blue ice”. Approximately 15:00 back for quick-lunch at the centre restaurant followed by educational visit. 16:30 dep. by private coach for non-stop transfer (km 154 – driving time 2:26 hours included ferryboart sailing crossing the impressive “Sognefjord”) and arr. 19:00 to market-town Voss and change to local train. 19:20 Dep. by train and after a scenic train ride 20:34 arr. To City of Bergen at the Norwegian West coast. Short walk to the Bergen YMCA Hostel, check-in, refreshing cold dishes & overnight.

 

“City of Bergen at shore of the Atlantic Ocean” - Day 5: 

                        08:00 Breakfast at the hostel. Meet & greet your guide for a walking tour of historic Bergen included visit the Medieval “Bryggen”, the warehouses at the harbour front. These warehouses are listed by UNESCO at the World’s heritage list. Ride the spectacular cogwheel railway to top of the mountain. Pick-up your delicious luxury lunch-packets and enjoy the lunch on top of the mountain. The view is marvellous regardless the visitor’s age! With the cogwheel railway, “Flöibana”, down to Bergen and time for shopping. Please do not forget to shop for your “cook-your-self” farewell dinner at the hostel! – Private dining room is reserved for the group. Overnight.

 

"Fare well Norway" – Return by flight - Day 6: 

                        Breakfast at the youth hostel. Transfer by private coach to the Flesland Airport and return flight from Bergen - alternative train Bergen to Oslo.
